11/1/2023 0 Comments Color test page for epson printer![]() ![]() I am pretty meticulous about keeping track of settings and keeping careful notes. Maybe a little less dense through the mid-tones. I'd say all the step densities look pretty similar, just a different warmer color tone. The maximum black does look about the same though. The new B&W prints I get now look decidedly warm-tones instead of neutral.Īs a further test, I printed a B&W 21-step tablet TIFF image using no color profile at all and compared it against previous prints done the same way. I also typically print a B&W image using ABW mode and a custom profile that prints very neutral. They look Ok, just less vibrant - somewhat lighter or a little washed out perhaps. Whenever I do a test I always print the same color image and compare it against the previous ones. The prints I make however look less vibrant that previous ones. All 3 blacks are printing and look distinct from one another although PB doesn't look super dark (not sure how dark it should look). The check prints all 8 patterns and looks correct to me. This first thing I did was a nozzle check and there was a little bit of clogging (Photo Black and Magenta) but a single normal cleaning cleared that up. ![]() I do run a test print every so often but it's been a long time since I last did that. It's been kept covered in a 45-50% humidity environment and even with previous periods of disuse, has never had clogging issues. I have a Epson 3880 that has sat for a while without use. ![]()
